So I got wireless internet on my nokia 5800XM (not wifi) and I want to connect to the internet on my laptop through it. How can I do that?

connect thru usb and use it as a dialup modem…you need to pay for a dialup account though

I’m thinking about purchasing the Nokia e63. I’m using my current cellphone as a modem and it really sucks.Any idea on how fast the internet connection will be?

well actually the modems of most of the phones are the same unless u r using some old or bad phone. i have used n79 and also 2370 classic and when i connect the computer to the internet through the phone i get the same speed ( the comp shows 460kbps but this is a big lie ) . basically the whole things depends on your network. try taking 3g .

Whenever someone tries to send me a picture or video on my Nokia 3610, it says I need to "check multimedia settings to receive messages."

I’ve tried changing the various settings and none of these changes cause me to receive messages. How do I fix it?

Due to the poor response,Nokia cut down the price from Rs.18000 to Rs.13000.
What are the drawbacks in this phone that led to this?

Nokia 5800 is an excellent piece.I’ve used it for a few months.Butt It had some drawbacks.
1.The touchscreen lags after a few days of usage.
2.Music is not so impressive and is the same as the cheaper versions of Xpress music like 5130,5310,etc.
3.18k was seriously too expensive as this was the time of the rage of korean/chinese models which were better than it and cheaper.

Is it possible to download applications to my Nokia 5230 without downloading straight from the phone? Because downloading from the internet on the phone is really expensive.

use your sd card if you do not have one in your phone you can get one cheap and then you will be able to put stuff from your pc to your sd card.
