Can someone please tell me what mobile phone is used by Nick (Tamer) in the movie Dead Man Running?
The mobile phone is shown in the movie at somewhere around 01:11:14, almost near the ending of the movie. The brand of the mobile phone is not visible, thus I can’t figure out which phone it is.
Thanks for your help!
It looks like an Ericsson to me – although, I can’t say I have ever seen it before. It is a notice phone though.
When I ring someone, I enter the number (or the contact from my list) and then I press the green button. Then I have to look at the phone or put it to my ear and wait for the person to answer. The Loudspeaker option only comes available AFTER the call has connected. Which is an absolute nuisance. With Landline phones the loudspeaker is immediately available, so I just key in the number, press loudspeaker, and then pick up the phone when its answered. Where can I find a mobile that gives you loudspeaker option before you dial?
It may just be your phone. I have never had a phone do anything like that to me before. Try calling the carrier of the phone for tech support.

Sometimes when i leave the mobile phone close to the TV, the TV seems to detect some signal from the mobile phone. What is happening?
Is the mobile phone sending some packets to the basestation or the other way around? What are these packets and why is this communication important?
A cell phone is in constant communication with the nearest cell antennae for the basic reason that, as a telecommunication device, it is a "real-time" communicator. That means that it must be ready at all times to both make and receive calls in any instant. In order for that to occur the phone sends a "keep-alive" data packet at regular intervals in a similar manner that a computer constantly communicates with a switch. If a call is directed to a specific cell phone, the providers routers need to know exactly which path to take in order for that call to be routed through the cell network to the tower and finally on to the correct phone. This is required so that the cell system does not have to broadcast the signal throughout the network looking for the phone. This would place too much load on an already busy network.
The "keep-alive" packets are very small but must be sent regularly so that the system knows exactly where the phone is at any given moment. As you move from antennae to antennae the signal moves with you too. It is the "keep-alive" that allows this to work effectively.
Finally, there should not be any interference from your phone through your TV. I suppose it’s possible but I think unlikely. Try moving the phone to a different location to prevent this.
How much does it cost to create a mobile phone app? Keep in mind If I knew how to do it myself I would not ask. I have a great idea, but not the know how. I would like to hire a programmer to do it. I know it depends on how much work it involves, but can anyone give me a ball park figure on the starting price for this?
It really does depend on the requirements and the scope of the project. Prices can range from $1000 to $5000 depending on what exactly you are looking for. If you are lucky and the project is very basic, you might even find someone to do it for a couple hundred dollars, not sure if anyone would go under $500 though.
